Immersive Design Week is a festival spotlighting innovative designers, projects and technologies that sit at the nexus of film, theater, gaming, mixed reality, & immersive storytelling. About Immersive Design Summit:
The first Immersive Design Summit took place at The Speakeasy in 2018, with speakers from Meow Wolf, The VOID/ILMxLAB, Two Bit Circus, Punchdrunk International, Oculus, and more. The upcoming Immersive Design Summit will take place at the Swedish American Hall on Feb 22nd and 23rd. This year, there will be speakers from Walt Disney Imagineering, Magic Leap, Dreamscape (Alien Zoo), Mycotoo and Giant Spoon (Bladerunner 2049 Experience & SXSWestworld), and more. Due to the popularity of the two-day summit, the organizers decided to curate a calendar of design workshops, panels, demos, games, behind-the-scenes tours, special performances, immersive installations, and happy hour meetups throughout the month of February 2019, but focusing specifically on the week of Feb 20 — Feb 27th.
